The Autronic AER75 series is a brand-new generation of high performance, convection cooled 75W DC/DC converters. The AER75 series has been designed specifically for use in railway applications and in harsh environments. Due to their compact design the small power supplies can perfectly be used in display solutions, customer information systems, radio modules or for switches and repeaters. Additionally, due to their UL / cUL60950 certification they are a safe choice for industrial and telecommunication applications.

The electrically isolated power supplies are available with common input voltages of 72 VDC or 110 VDC, including a tolerance of +/- 40%. The compact module solutions comply with the railway standard EN 50155 as well as the EMC standard EN 50121-3-2 with low external components.

The DC/DC converters certified for railway applications have a very high efficiency of up to 92% in a compact housing and can be used for operating temperatures between -40°C and 80°C. Optionally, the AER75 is available with heat sink, so higher heat dissipation can be guaranteed even at higher requirements. Other product features are the high, reinforced insulation (I/O 3000VAC), remote on/off, undervoltage shutdown, overload and over-temperature protection which provides protection against damages.

The DC/DC converter is available with single output with 5V, 12V, 15V and 24V. The outputs can be trimmed +/- 10%. No minimum load is required, the start time of the converter is 0.35s.

The quarter bricks have been tested according to the Fire and Smoke EN 45545-2, and have passed the shock/vibration test according to EN 61373 (category 1, class B). Acceptance according to EN 60950-1 is available.
